Dr. Josh Harper
Dr. Joshua Harper is a pioneering chiropractor and owner of Calispine Functional Neurology - Harper Chiropractic, APC in North County San Diego, renowned for his innovative neurocentric approach to chiropractic care. With over 20 years of experience, starting in the armed forces as a first responder, Dr. Harper developed a profound passion for helping people.
Dr. Harper specializes in non-pharmaceutical and non-surgical treatments for a variety of conditions, including chronic pain, concussions, neurodegenerative disorders, migraines, and sports injuries. He is dedicated to enhancing physical and cognitive health and performance through a holistic, full-body approach to healing.
Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Harper is deeply committed to education, constantly engaging with the latest clinical research to integrate evidence-based medicine into his practice. He also collaborates with a broad network of healthcare professionals, including MDs, naturopaths, acupuncturists, and therapists, to provide comprehensive and multidimensional care to his patients. This collaborative effort extends to sharing space with a speech-language pathologist, social worker, and hypnotherapist, fostering an integrated care environment.

Meagan
Meagan brings more than a decade of healthcare experience, leadership, and a strong commitment to patient care to her role as Operations Manager. With a master’s degree from Worcester State University and a background as a certified speech-language pathologist, she combines clinical insight with a thoughtful, organized approach to practice operations.
At Calispine Functional Neurology - Harper Chiropractic, APC, Meagan oversees the systems, team, and day-to-day operations that help create a seamless patient experience and keep the practice running efficiently. Her focus is on supporting the team, improving processes, and ensuring patients receive the high level of care and service Calispine is known for.
Outside the office, Meagan enjoys running, spending time at the beach, and spending time with her family.
Madelin
Meet Madelin, our Lead Chiropractic and Administrative Assistant here at Calispine! Whether supporting patients in the office or helping things run smoothly behind the scenes, Madelin always brings a positive energy and a genuine love for helping others feel their best. She graduated from California State University San Marcos in 2022 with a degree in Communication. Her time in school deepened her understanding of how meaningful connection and clear communication can positively impact people’s lives. That experience continues to shape the way she supports others—whether by listening with care, staying organized, or helping create a calm and welcoming environment for patients. She values being part of a team that supports others on their wellness journey and loves seeing the amazing progress clients are making here at Calispine!
Health and wellness have always been important parts of Madelin’s life. She finds joy in staying active, whether that’s lifting weights at the gym or going for long walks by the beach. Madelin also enjoys cooking, spending time with friends, and exploring new restaurants with her husband. They’re self-proclaimed foodies who love trying different types of cuisine and discovering local hidden gems. In her downtime, she enjoys curling up with a book and an iced coffee in hand, usually with her tuxedo cat, Hazel Marie, snuggled nearby.
Iris
Meet Iris, our chiropractic and administrative assistant. Iris graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science in Developmental Psychology and a minor in Art. She is passionate about building meaningful relationships and creating a welcoming environment where every patient feels seen, heard, and supported. With a genuine love for helping others, Iris is especially interested in whole-person wellness and finds it incredibly rewarding to watch patients leave feeling better than when they arrived. She values being part of a team that empowers people on their journey toward better health and enjoys celebrating each patient's progress along the way.
Outside of the office, Iris loves camping, traveling, spending time with friends, and seeking out new adventures in the great outdoors. Whether she’s exploring a new destination, spending a weekend in nature, or learning to surf along the California coast, she enjoys making the most of every opportunity to experience something new. She is also an avid crafter who enjoys hands-on art, including crochet, pottery, and drawing. Iris believes that creativity, movement, mindfulness, and meaningful connections all play an important role in living a healthy, balanced life.
Ella
Meet Ella, the heartwarming therapy pup in training at Calispine. Ella's days are filled with moments of joy, from welcoming everyone with her cheerful butt wiggles and a favorite toy in tow. She’s an adventurous spirit, finding happiness in hiking trails, socializing with new friends, and exploring the tastes of nature, whether it be sticks or grass.
Ella has a knack for making everyone feel special, especially if you've got a tasty treat to share; she’ll quickly consider you her new best friend. Her presence at Calispine makes every visit a little brighter and every therapy session more comforting. Ella is not just a therapy dog; she's a beacon of unconditional love and support, ready to accompany and uplift you on your wellness journey.
